Meet the Chef

chefAs a child, I always remember wanting to be a waitress like my Aunt Marty.

Making people happy by serving them good food really appealed to me. Over time, that dream never changed, it merely evolved into wanting to become a Chef. While in college in New York, I worked at a Catering company called Fisher’s & Levy and at the Showtime Café. It was in these kitchens where I felt very much at home.

Sensing my frustration with college, my mother encouraged me to follow my dream and pursue a career as a Chef. I chose to attend the Culinary Institute of America and received the Shifflin Award for Culinary Excellence upon graduating. From there, I went to work at the River Café and other restaurants in New York and New Jersey.

Thanks to my education and experience, I am able to draw on the flavors of Italy, Spain, France, Asia, Latin America and the different regions of the USA. It is with great joy that I use my skills and passion to create the food for Lorraine’s Table Catering which I started in 2001. Truly, a dream come true.
